Easton Zinfandel, Amador County, 2009
Price: Suggested retail is $17.00 (Purchased for $12.99)
From The Winery: 14.5% alcohol
Impressions: I haven’t had the opportunity to taste many wines from California’s Sierra Foothills, but this wine from Easton reaffirmed that I need to seek them out. Rich aromas of cassis and blackberry explode on the nose, with a wisp of leather in the background. Ripe and rich in the mouth, with some oaky tannins hitting right before the solid finish. The best zin below $20.00 that I’ve tasted this year.
Score: 19.5/20

Nick, you find a great wine for under twenty dollars and you’d think that the response would be over whelming.
I’m still trying to figure out how people respond to this kind of information.
As for me, I’ve had other vintages, but you’ve encouraged me to pick-up a bottle.

Dennis,
As you can see, I really liked this one. By the way, I found the J Pinot Gris and bought it–haven’t tasted it yet though.
